Accounts and permissions

Users agree to provide accurate, current information, protect their sign-in details and take responsibility for actions on their accounts. Workspace owners manage user roles and access permissions.

Acceptable use

Hokush must not be used for unlawful content, unauthorised access, malware, infringement of third-party rights or activities that compromise the security of the service.

User content

Ownership and intellectual property rights in content remain with the user or the relevant rights holder. Users must have the rights and permissions needed for content they upload or share and must not share content that infringes another person's rights.

Users grant Hokush a non-exclusive permission to use content only to the extent necessary to provide the service they request. This permission is limited to hosting, storage, backup, technical processing for transmission or display, synchronisation between web and mobile, and display to authorised participants according to the user's sharing choices and workspace permissions. Service providers may participate only as necessary, on Hokush's behalf and under confidentiality and security obligations.

This permission does not authorise selling content, using it in advertising or promotional campaigns, or publishing it for purposes unrelated to the service. Use and retention are limited to what the service requires and applicable legal obligations; they are not unrestricted or indefinite.

This permission does not waive applicable rights, including account deletion and erasure of personal data. The distinction between leaving a business, management of shared records and account deletion is explained below. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you can send our support team the information needed to identify the content and your rights.

Content rights support

Working with businesses

You may join a business as a staff member, administrator or client using your personal account. Business tasks, messages, files, subtasks and activity history are shared records used by authorised participants. Business administrators manage roles and task access; joining does not give the business access to your personal workspace.

Leaving a business or losing access to a card does not delete your account. Shared cards and your contributions are not automatically deleted solely for that reason; they remain available to authorised participants for continuity of work. This does not grant unrestricted use or indefinite retention rights.

Account deletion is separate from leaving a business. Requests to delete an account and its associated personal data are assessed according to the nature of the content and applicable legal obligations. These terms do not permit unconditional retention of all shared messages and files after account deletion. Users are informed of the scope, reason and duration of any legally required retention; applicable deletion obligations continue to apply to other personal data.

This explanation is not a request for consent or a waiver of personal data rights. Your rights to information, correction, erasure and other applicable rights remain unaffected. Business administrators may manage shared records only within their authority, processing purpose and necessary retention period.

Personal data processing and your rights

Plans, continuity and changes

The scope of free and paid plans is shown on the relevant plan screen. Changes to plans, subscriptions and prices are communicated through appropriate channels before taking effect. Downgrades may affect capacity and retention limits.

Account closure

Users may close their accounts; payment and subscription terms are also governed by the distance sales documents. Access may be proportionately restricted in the event of unlawful use or security violations.
